<div>This GoFundMe has been created to assist the Johnson family, specifically Shawn’s two sons, Tyler and Daylen, in purchasing the rights to a local baseball field that will be named in Shawn’s honor: <strong><em>“The Shawn Johnson Legacy Field.”</em></strong>

<div>Christopher Shawn “Big Shawny” Johnson passed away on November 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by resilience, love, and an unwavering passion for baseball.

<div>Shawn’s journey in the baseball community began in 1997 when his youngest son, Tyler, joined T-ball. What started as a simple step into coaching quickly grew into a lifelong commitment as his youngest son, Daylen, joined the game. From that point forward, baseball wasn’t just a pastime but instead became Shawn’s calling.

<div>Whether coaching, officiating, directing, planning tournaments, or creating amusing TikTok videos and Facebook reels (@bigshawny_usssa_baseball), Shawn poured his heart into the sport. He spent countless hours on the field, mentoring tens of thousands of young athletes through teams such as the Bats, Tigers, and Manual High School. His greatest joy was encouraging players with his trademark phrases, like the unforgettable:

<div>Shawn’s influence extended far beyond the diamond. He built connections, created lifelong memories, and inspired generations of youth.
