<div>On April 26, 2025, the Corcoran community was profoundly affected by the tragic loss of 17-year-old Lorenso Sanchez, who became a victim of a senseless act of violence near the Hanford Mall. Lorenso was more than just a typical teenager; he was a symbol of kindness and respect, recognized for his infectious smile and his eagerness to assist others. As a committed student-athlete, he thrived in both his studies and sports, exemplifying the values of hard work and determination. His aspirations were as vibrant as his character, filled with dreams for life after high school, including plans for college and a strong desire to make a positive difference in the world.

<div>In the aftermath of this heartbreaking incident, the community has united to support Lorenso's family during this incredibly challenging time. The loss of a young life is always tragic, but the sorrow is intensified when that life is brimming with promise and potential. Lorenso's family is facing not only their profound grief but also the practical difficulties that arise following such a tragedy. As friends, neighbors, and community members, we are called to come together and offer our support in any way possible. Whether through financial contributions, emotional encouragement, or simply being there for them, every act of kindness can have a meaningful impact. Any assistance you can provide would be immensely valued as we work to honor Lorenso's memory and ensure that his family feels the love and support of their community during this unimaginable time.
