Honor Brice's Legacy: Support Caddo Kai Karate

Mr. Brice Anthony started Caddo Kai Karate on Jan. 18, 2022. His passion for teaching students finally became a reality. His dream of doing this alongside his son, Christian Anthony, came true.

He started his dojo at the Caddo Senior building with just a few students, that are known as the "OG's." His passion was unmatched and his commitment to his students was evident in their skills and the rapid growth of the dojo.

Mr. Brice didn't just teach Taekwondo, he lived it day in and day out. He volunteered his time teaching the seniors of our community, students who needed extra assistance, made accommodations for students with special needs, and started a program to help those who otherwise could not join the dojo. He also taught a homeschool program to a group in Rockwall.

To say Mr. Brice's heart was full of compassion, kindness, and love is an understatement.

In August 2022, Mr. Brice moved to his new location off of I-30 in Caddo Mills. He also started the "Tournament Team." This team performed at local events such as the Fall Festival and for students at Caddo Mills ISD. The team participated in TKO League tournaments for 2023 and 2024.

Mr. Brice strived for excellence in his teaching and expected the same from his students. On August 3rd, 2023 - he held is first annual Odyssey Tournament. He was thrilled and eager to join the TKO League as a tournament promoter. Something we are still working to accomplish in his honor in 2025.

The 2024 TKO State Championship was from Nov. 22nd to Nov. 24th. Mr. Brice had been admitted into the hospital on Nov. 10th. The Tournament Team, led by Christian Anthony, attended state with heavy hearts, but they were determined to make their Grand Master proud and show an "Indomitable Spirit." All came home placed 3rd, 2nd, and several as State Champions. As far as the parents and their fearless leader, they all were State Champions.

8th degree black belt; Grand Master Brice Anthony passed away Nov. 26th.

The Caddo Kai family has experienced a great loss of a son, brother, father, leader, friend, mentor and role model to many. We are slowly healing and finding a way to mend our broken hearts while keeping his dream alive. We are grateful that his son, Christian Anthony, will continue this passion and guide, teach, and support the family we have become.

We are asking each of you to help keep this legacy alive by donating to the dojo.

Funds will go towards any outstanding medical bills, dojo expenses and his Celebration of Life - details will be added in an update once arrangements have been made.
