Honk for Hope is going on tour with its R.I.P coach!
The coach industry has been hit extremely hard by Covid-19 and have asked for sector specific support from the government. Honk for Hope is a campaign to raise awareness for the industry as we have never asked for government support before and we need to show everyone how vital it is that the coach industry survives this crisis to be able to carry on operating the essential and important services we offer. With 42,000 jobs at risk and 40% of companies likely to cease trading by the end of the year we need to government to offer help fast after currently excluding us from support and ignoring our plight.
Our R.I.P. Coaches coach will be travelling the length and breadth of the country, stopping in major cities with small convoys of coaches to explain to people why we need the support and hopefully get the media on board to report our story. The cost alone to do this is not cheap, with fuel being the biggest outlay. We are hoping people will donate to make this possible and to try to help save the coach industry and raise the much needed awareness of our struggles. We are a seasonal industry and with having no work for the last 6 months we are looking at an extremely hard winter and 18 months of no work will be disastrous for us all with no support
