Honey Collective: Care Leavers Outreach Project

We are ‘Honey Collective’. An all-female theatre group, formed from students studying Applied Theatre. We have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to collaborate with the Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN).

In May, we will embark on a two-week project where we will be running workshops with young people in care and young care leavers ranging from 13 to 26 years old, in different areas of Manchester.


In order to make this collaboration happen, we desperately need to raise some funds to cover costs such as; room hire and materials for our participants.

 A little bit more about who we are working with…

GMYN is a support network for young people, providing a range of programs for those who have experiences with the care system, unemployment, disability, mental health and other forms of social isolation. With their hashtag ‘youngpeoplecan’, they strive to create opportunities to benefit disadvantaged young people's future. They are a network that pride themselves with their inclusivity in the workforce and their aims to empower and develop young people's confidence as well as their skills to participate and achieve.
