One out of 5 Hondurans live in extreme poverty and the country has faced elevated risks of poverty due to the spread of Covid-19. On November 3rd, Honduras suffered through Hurricane Eta that brought constant rainfall and high winds to several areas of the country. Eta caused multiple bridges to collapse, destroyed  homes, flooded the international airport  and left thousands of people displaced. People were left homeless with nothing except the clothes that they were wearing. 

The lasting effects of Hurricane Eta (that lasted 48hrs) have been far worse than the damages experienced by Hurricane Mitch (that lasted 7 days) in 1998 and the pandemic has made this experience more challenging as large crowds are seeking safeguard in local shelters where social distancing isn't possible. People are sleeping on the streets without a roof above their heads and there's not enough government assistance to help those in need. 

We have witnessed our family's pain from watching our country suffer. From afar we've seen how many people have lost everything in a country where they didn’t have enough to begin with and this is why we are reaching out to you. We are asking for donations to help our fellow Hondurans during these difficult times. Your contribution will help provide basic necessities such as food, water, masks, clothing, medical supplies and blankets to survivors in Honduras. We're working with family and friends in Honduras to collect items and deliver them to those who are in most need.
