Homework Program Sponsorship

Project Overcome, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving families and individuals in the Fairfield County area. We are passionate about helping each person resolve their crisis. We emphasize heavily on holding our client's hand every step of the way! It is important for us to invest in our youth because they are the future of tomorrow.  We therefore started a homework/after school program that focuses on assisting inner city youth with homework and life skills. 

Originally, we began case managing families and individuals facing homelessness. We have expanded our services to ensure that individuals who are head of household, elderly and disabled, receive basic needs, case management and companionship.  Our selfless volunteers and employees also work with the students and their families that are in need of assistance. 

Our goal is to make sure the students we work with improve their grades, learn the importance of  community service, gain an understanding of bullying and proper ways to advocate for themselves, as well as engage in social activities. 

The cost for the homework/after school program is $25 per month, per child. Last year the program was free. Many parents have expressed that this change may not allow their son/daughter to return to the program. Please consider sponsoring one of our children today. 

We will have 35 students. 

We will use the funds for the following:

*Supplies for academic support
*Supplies for each "special" (cooking, arts and crafts, etc.)
*Supplies for the reading program (books)
*Food, snacks, and beverages
*Supplies for families in need of basic needs
*Transportation services
