<div>Op 19 mei zijn wij ouders geworden van onze tweede dochter, Renske. Op de dag dat zij 2 weken oud werd is zij totaal onverwacht gecrasht en bleek zij een hartritmestoornis te hebben. Uiteindelijk is zij met alle toeters en bellen overgebracht naar het UMCG in Groningen waar zij twee weken aan de beademing heeft gelegen. Uiteindelijk hebben wij onze kleine Renske mee naar huis mogen nemen en is haar conditie blijvend, maar onder controle.

<div>Je wereld staat op dat moment op zijn kop en een slaapplek en eten staan even niet bovenaan je prioriteitenlijstje. Hoe geweldig fijn was het dan ook dat wij in het Ronald McDonald Huis in Groningen opgevangen werden. Hier kon onze andere dochter spelen, wij aanschuiven voor een warme maaltijd en bezoek ontvangen in een warme omgeving. En natuurlijk blijven slapen; van alle gemakken voorzien. Hierdoor konden wij binnen 10 minuten bij onze dochter zijn om haar die oh zo belangrijke nachtzoen te geven en 's ochtends vroeg weer naast haar te zitten.

<div>Nu willen wij wat terug doen voor al deze Ronald McDonald Huizen en woonkamers door heel Nederland. In Juni willen wij deelnemen aan de HomeSporters: 24 uur lang sporten we met een team van 10 sporters en leggen we in 6 etappes enorme afstanden af. Maar om mee te mogen doen hebben we sponsoren nodig, en dat is waar we jullie nodig hebben!

<div>Met dit geld maken we 100 overnachtingen in een Ronald McDonald Huis mogelijk en zorgen er zo voor dat zieke kinderen hun familie altijd in de buurt hebben. Zodra wij dit bedrag verzameld hebben mogen wij deelnemen en zo hopelijk nog meer geld inzamelen voor alle vrijwilligers die dag én nacht met zo veel liefde en compassie klaarstaan voor alle ouders die het huis helaas moeten bezoeken.

<div>We hebben een crowdfundingactie gestart waar geld gedoneerd kan worden. €7500 is het streven, maar elke euro (extra) vind zijn weg naar de huizen en ontzorgen ouders en kinderen. We hopen op jullie steun zodat ouders die in eenzelfde situatie terecht komen als wij ook ondersteund kunnen worden!
