I am back from the border of Bangladesh and Myanmar and I can tell you first hand that it's Genocide... Not ethnic cleansing, Genocide. While volunteering in the refugee camp, with my partner organization Planting Peace, it had become apparent that although an incredible product, the transitional shelters can not be imported into Bangladesh. This is due to political and military constraints. However, Homes 2 Help has committed themselves to building a therapeutic feeding shelter (TFC). The TFC will admit children who are severely malnourished and under 70 % of their normal weight. They will be nourished with high-protein biscuits, therapeutic milk, mineral and vitamin complex and a re-hydration solution for malnutrition. The TFC will run a growth-monitoring program, ensuring that children do not relapse. It will also help provide guidance on proper infant and child feeding practices for mothers.
The infants and children that your donation will be directly helping is like this child. He was 2.5 lbs when he arrived at three months old!

Help Provide Dignified Temporary Shelter for Refugees Fleeing from Genocide
The statistics are staggering… An eruption of violence in Myanmar (nation adjacent to Bangladesh) has spurred a massive refugee crises, driving more than 537,000 terrified Rohingya refugees to flee to Bangladesh in just 8 weeks!
The Rohingya, an oppressed ethnic group of refugees, are escaping an onslaught of terror by the Myanmar military. The United Nations has called this outbreak of violence the world’s “fastest developing refugee emergency” and a “Textbook example of ethnic cleansing”.
"In recent weeks, the army and militias have attacked Rohingya villages, driving hundreds of thousands of people to seek refuge in neighboring Bangladesh in a campaign that Bangladesh authorities say has left 3,000 people dead." – James Hookway, The Wall Street Journal.
This is the humanitarian crisis of our time! Homes 2 Help is providing shelters and dignity to protect these fleeing families from death and disease.
The Bangladeshi government has reported that more than 800,000 Rohingya are now living on their side of the border. Most are in congested, poorly-erected camps, staying in shelters that amount to little more than bamboo poles strapped together with some plastic sheeting for a makeshift roof.
Homes 2 Help is a Florida non-profit organization that brings safe, clean, and temporary shelters to those who are displaced due to armed conflict. Homes 2 Help believes in a World in which all people have a safe and dignified place to call their own.
Our organization is starting its founding fund to bring shelters directly to the oppressed Rohingya people who are struggling to survive.
Your donation will help provide a shelter that is clean, safe, lightweight, and modular. It has a solid elevated floor, solar panels (to provide electricity for up to four hours and a port to charge a cell phone), it locks from the inside, and can be erected in under 4 hours!
Homes 2 Help is sending their Founder, Ryah Silvestri, to Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, to get a first-hand look at what’s happening on the ground. Our next step is to identify and prioritize the provision of shelters to the most vulnerable of refugees and to help support their distribution through partners in Bangladesh.
Your funds will go towards raising the money to procure the minimum quantity order required to secure the initial shipment of shelters into this territory from our partners, Better Shelter (Ikea Foundation).
Each shelter costs $1,200. Your donation will go towards the initial founding fund to procure 100 shelters (including the shipping costs and taxes/fees), startup administration cost, and unexpected contingencies.
All donors will be listed on our website as founding funders to Homes 2 Help and honored for their much-needed contribution toward the relief efforts of the Rohingya humanitarian crisis.
Remember, on chilly nights or blistering afternoons, your donations can be the difference between life and death!
Please help restore a sense of home to a family in need today!
Thank you for your kindness and generosity! Please stay tuned for stories, updates, and progress from the ground in Bangladesh.
