It's hard to believe that just across the border in Tijuana there are families just like us struggling with poverty who love their children, work hard to support their families and have unwavering faith in the face of so many difficult challenges. It's a father working endless hours to make ends meet, a mother who dreams of having security and a happy home for her children, and kids who want a safe environment to learn and grow. For these families the chance at having a real roof over their childrens head seems like a dream out of reach.
We are the Palos Verdes Sheepdogs. We are a group of families that have come together to make a difference in the life of another family in need through an organization called Homes of Hope. We are teaching our children to help those that cannot help themselves. To give of themselves without being asked. We are committed to creating a safe haven for one family in hopes that our passion to do good will trickle down to many others.
We have a huge goal to achieve but every bit can help with the cost of lumber, paint, plumbing and supplies to give this family in need the real home they have always dreamed of and help us fight global poverty.
Our families and kids will be working hard painting and nailing these homes together bit by bit. We have so much....they have so little. If you can find it in your heart to help our cause we would forever be grateful. It feels good to DO good!
