Home Run Kid "Lincoln"

Donation protected
My name is Collin Adams.I am 16 years old and am a baseball player at Martin High School.

This year I have been invited to be a participant in the 2017 “ POWER SHOWCASE ” in Miami at Marlin Stadium.. This is an event that features 170 of the world’s best young baseball players representing 20+ countries.

While I am honored to be one the players invited to represent my state, There is something even more special about the POWER SHOWCASE and that is my opportunity to serve someone special who cannot play baseball.

I was given the privilege to choose someone as my “Home Run Kid” that I can represent as I compete and raise funds to assist him.  I chose my cousin Lincoln.

Every ball I hit and every swing I take will be for Lincoln. He is an amazing little boy who fights more battles and challenges every day than I ever have. My goal is to have more hits and homeruns than the other particpants and in the process raise funds to serve Lincoln through his therapies that he will continue to face.

Please read more about my cousin below.

Lincoln is the 3rd son of my Aunt.  She discovered at 14 weeks of pregnancy that Lincoln had Trisomy 18.  This is fatal to most babys even before birth or just after.  After birth Linc was officially diagnosed with “Partial Translocated Trisomy 18.” Linc was not given much hope after birth.  He was given a gastrostomy tube immediately just so he could be fed and sent home and low expectations.  But my family is a family of faith and knows God has a purpose for Linc and trust God daily with Linc.

Linc is now 2 years old.  He is fighting and beating the odds daily.  He is a miracle. He has endured multiple surgeries and works daily with physical therapy, occupational therapy and feeding therapy.  He is now able to sit up and eat some baby food. Linc is forever smiling and loves to touch your face.  He is always laughing teaching everyone what a true fighter is.

Linc’s future is uncertain.  He will have many more doctor appointments and therapy sessions in his future.  Our family prayer is that Linc continues to be healthy and is able to learn to walk and all the simple things we take for granted.

I am asking for everyone to make a donation for Lincoln.  All funds will go directly to him.

When I compete at the end of December Lincolns picture will be displayed on the Jumbo Tron and streamed live for others to see and be inspired by him.  My goal is serve and celebrate Lincoln with your help.

Home Zone Furniture has also pledged to match the donations that I raise.
