Ossining Homeowners Fair Taxation

We have ALL been overpaying our property taxes, at an average of about $1,000-$3,000 per household each year for decades! This must STOP NOW! How, you ask?
Under current New York state law, condominimums are assessed at approximately 40-60% less than homes! That means if a home and a condominium are equally valued, the condo will pay 40-60% less in property taxes than a homeowner, even though condo owners use all of the town's and village's most expensive services just as homeowners, including schools, parks, emergency services, roads and much much more.
Our vision is to ensure that the Town of Ossining corrects this inequity by implementing the "Homestead" option in 2018. In order to do this, we want to notify and procure responses from over 6,300 home owners in the Town of Ossining. If everybody pays their FAIR share of taxes, there will be a 6-8% REDUCTION in EVERY home owners' real estate taxes!
We need your financial help! This is a huge project that includes information design, printing, mailing lists, postal expenses, website fees and more. We ask you for your help in offsetting expenses by contributing $50, $100, $250 to get the word out... SO WE CAN LOWER OUR TAXES and have the condos pay their fair share. If we procure contributions in excess of our actual expenses, the overage will be donated to the Ossining Children's Center.
