Homeless family needing little help

Donation protected
The Smith family has had a very hard to at life the last 2 year's. First they had a house fire and lost everything including their 2 dog's. They then moved to Michigan from Arizona in July 2017 where Jeff ( father and husband ) was born and raised so most of his family live in Michigan. They bounced around from couch to couch until Jeff's Aunt and Uncle helped them pay for the deposit to rent a house in August 2017. This is when I met this Incredible family, they moved into my small town and our daughter's became joined at the hip. When the Smith family moved here they didn't have anything so the local American Legion took up donations and helped this family get beds, furniture and clothing. Just a few month's after moving here Amber ( 32 year old mother and wife )  was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She had surgery removing her cervix but unfortunately just 2 month's later her fears came to life when she was told the cancer had now attacked her uterus and was spreading to her lymph nodes. She underwent another surgery the doctor is called a radical hysterectomy they removed all of her female organs except for one ovary. This ovary was completely healthy and the biopsies taken came back negative for cancer. The doctor said it was with in her best interest to leave the ovary intact so she would not have to be put on hormone replacement therapy at such a young age. Then just 5 month's later August 2018 her team of doctors decided to do a PET scan just to be sure that there was no cancer growing anywhere else. Unfortunately the test came back that cancer had now attacked her healthy ovary and she had a third surgery to remove it. As Amber prepared for yet another surgery her family was served with an eviction notice because their one-year lease was up and they were forced to move out of the home they were renting. This family had nowhere to turn and no where to go. The 3 childrsn ages 13,11 and 8 were already in school so the family needed to be close, which ruled out most of Jeff's family as shelter for this family. Jeff was then replaced at his job. They have been camping in the woods on DNR land for over a week now. Jeff has a new job now so thing's are starting to look up. As if this family hasn't gone through enough they now are dealing with child protective services which for the moment are tolerant of the family sleeping in tents but if they don't get somewhere to live soon these amazing parents may lose their children.

In the beginning of August the Smith family was approved to buy their own forever home. They found a home that they absolutely fell in love with and was in their budget. With Jeff loosing his job and with Amber's medical bill's and now the family being homeless they are not able to pay for the closing costs. The closing date is September 28th 2018 and the only thing standing in their way is $3,500.

This money will not only get this family out of the Woods, out of tents and get CPS off their back but it will also provide a permanent foundation for this family to thrive. It will be the fresh start that they truly need.
