Homeless Family Friend in Uganda, Africa
Donation protected
Hello dear friends and family,
We are writing this today on behalf of our dear friend Moses.
Moses and his siblings lost their mom and dad many years ago and became orphans in Uganda. Moses is the leader of his family -his father made him promise to take care of his sisters - but is always struggling to make ends meet. They were living in a compound of a few small concrete rooms, the same house they grew up in. After their father's passing, the property owner let them stay there for free - 18 family members, including nieces and nephews. Last week, a development company purchased the land and demolished their home. Since then they have been displaced and without enough funds, living day to day on the streets.
Theres and I are working on coming up with a fundraiser for Moses to start him a business so he can provide for his family. But, in the meantime, we are reaching out to anyone who is in a position to give so we can get Moses and his family into a temporary rental house to get them food and shelter. Moses is a personal friend, we have known him for over six years, and we spent time together during my (Linsey's) last trip to Africa earlier this year.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message, we appreciate everyone who has helped us with Moses and his family over the years. This is an urgent request, please donate if you are able.
Needed urgently:
Our goal is to raise $5000 for rent and food for Moses' family for one year.
Long-term goals:
Buying Moses a used car so he can start a business Ubering.
Our long-term goal is to raise $20,000 so Moses can purchase a home for him and his sisters and nieces and nephews.
All our love and God bless,
Linsey Ebuen and Theres Iwanchuk

A beautiful birthday message for Theres:
Only the ones who know Moses know that he is too humble to share his true life story, never asks for anything, but represents an image of a continuously giving fountain of wisdom, paired with an upbeat personality and his gospel music. He gives the impression that all is well despite constant struggle and hardship.
Let's help Moses and return some of the love he has shared with all of us ❤️
UPDATES:
Thank you so much Theres and Linsey, indeed God gave me the two of you as a GIFT ❤️
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me with kindness and prayers. I am so grateful for every kind soul that has donated towards this great cause and everyone that is sharing the link. As I go through this difficult time, I am reminded of each one of you that has stood by me since this tragic incident happened. This has kept me going and soothed me from the trauma.
I am deeply grateful for everything you do to help and hope we’ll soon be at a better place again.
May God reward you for all your good deeds.
Proverbs 19:17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given.
Update / Message from Moses, Oct. 26, 2022:
The world is so cold, dreams are faint, the mind is not settled and the heart is aching. The future is blurry because what was once home is now no more.
All the old and good memories have faded, hope has faded, pain and depression has intensified but one thing I know is that God has remained.
In a special way I want to thank @___linseymarie and @theresiwanchuk for standing in for me during this difficult time of my life. Your act of dedication, commitment, time, sacrifice, kindness, love and care are a true expression of philanthropy.
You've been there for me in ways I can't even explain. You are real angels in a human form and am grateful for having you in my life.
To everyone who has donated, donating and still lending a hand in many ways towards this great cause, there are no words I can use to describe the gratitude I have towards for giving and kindness. @lionel_cyusa @[email redacted]3139 @ivyangie47 @mbonyicyambu @natsoles @tijawinslow @forcharo @1turbogirl @taraandersoncda
I believe that after all this is done and settled, I will even have gathered more strength and I will again write to you and thank you all again in detail.
