Homeless Couple Left Out in the Cold

Donation protected
2020 was a year that brought unimaginable pain to the masses. As Corona Virus took hold of the nation it left the most vulnerable of our population at risk.
As some of you may know Robert and I are apart of the 107,194 adults that have gone without shelter since the beginning of 2020. We were just barely hanging on when Covid-19 really took hold of Connecticut.
Robert was employed by Toyota full time as a porter and on March 28, 2020 he was informed he would be laid off. My part time job as a book keeper ended just three days later.
By the end of April we had started sleeping at campsites and eventually due to weather we ended up in the car. With no way to cook or access to running water.  Robert suffers from Chrones Disease which makes in extremely important that we have access to bathrooms and water to stay clean. Im not sure what would happen to him or us if he was to get Covid-19.
Contact with 211 proved their are no shelters due to over crowding and lack of resources. An offer of help in August when. they said as long as Rob or I had a full time job they would help us with a security deposit. Robert worked full time from September to the end of October but was laid off. I was offered a full time position,  but they furloughed me on Thanksgiving and never called me back to work.  I was offered an apartment and they never provided the security deposit.
The news took interest in us and then for an unknown reason took it down. From that we were able to get the funds together to pay our bills, have gift cards for groceries and even get inside for a month. But as of January 6 my fiance, our sweet puppy and I will be left out in the cold.
I am still going through the process to get my unemployment from the last month and Robert's claim just went through, but it is simply not enough for us to stay inside for even a week past the sixth.
My idea is that if we can raise enough money instead of going into another room we may be able to actually get into an apartment and never have to ask for this help again. But we can't do it alone and desperately need your help. If anyone could find it in their heart to help us stay inside and out of cold this time of year it would be a true blessing.
Thank you for your time it is appreciated and valued.
