<div><strong>Returning Home after 31 years</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This December, I will return to Rwanda/Burundi for the first time in three decades.
</div>
<div>I was born there, in the shadow of a genocide that tore through families and futures. When I lost my biological parents, close relatives stepped in. Without them, my story would have been very different.
</div>
<div>But not everyone has that safety net.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My close relative was severely assaulted by her husband. The violence left her partially deaf and forced her to flee the country with her six children. Today, they live in challenging living conditions in a temporary shelter in Uganda, rebuilding their lives with courage and dignity.
</div>
<div>Across the region many families face similar hardship.
</div>
<div>When communities have access to food, healthcare, education, and safe shelter, children can grow up surrounded by love, identity, and belonging.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What This Fundraiser Supports
</div>
<div>1️⃣ Direct aid for my cousin and her six children (60%)
</div>
<div>Covering essentials like food, medical care, school fees, and steps toward safer housing as they rebuild their lives.
</div>
<div>2️⃣ Community care and child welfare in Rwanda (30%)
</div>
<div>Supporting Hope and Homes for Children to help families stay together and thrive within their own communities and culture.
</div>
<div>3️⃣ Filming and documentation of the Homegoing journey (10%)
</div>
<div>Partnering with a local videographer to document this return transparently and ethically, ensuring accountability for every contribution.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, big or small, helps strengthen families and create safer, more nurturing communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why Now
</div>
<div>This mission honors my maternal grandmother, Léocadie, who carried immense loss yet remained a refuge for many.
</div>
<div>It is about helping others and creating pathways of safety, care, and belonging for families who need it most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Transparency &amp; Care
</div>
<div>I’m committed to handling every contribution with respect and clarity.
</div>
<div>✅ I will share filmed updates and a short documentary that centers on informed consent, dignity, and privacy.
</div>
<div>✅ I will publish expense summaries and receipts.
</div>
<div>✅ I will post progress notes so you can see exactly where your support goes and whom it helps.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we exceed the goal, any surplus will go to direct aid and then community initiatives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How You Can Help
</div>
<div>Give: Any amount makes a difference.
</div>
<div>Share: Spread the word
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Heart of This Mission
</div>
<div>This is for my cousin, a mother of six whose strength reminds me why community care matters.
</div>
<div>It’s also for every child who deserves to grow within a web of love, held by community, culture, and home.
</div>
<div>Your support helps transform grief into grounding,
</div>
<div>so the next generation can grow where they belong,
</div>
<div>safe, seen, and secure in the arms of a loving community.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>Soutenir Hope and Homes for Children pour aider les familles à rester unies et à s’épanouir au sein de leur propre culture et communauté.
</div>
<div>3️⃣ Tournage et documentation du projet Homegoing (10%)
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Pourquoi maintenant</strong>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Transparence &amp; Respect</strong>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>Si nous dépassons l’objectif, l’excédent sera d’abord alloué à l’aide directe, puis à des initiatives communautaires.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Comment contribuer</strong>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
