Home for Survivors: Rebuild lives
Donation protected
Haryana is the most unsafe place for women in India. Here is how a newspaper reporting on Haryana looks like (via Headlines in Haryana):

The Chief Minister of the state wants women to dress “decently ” to prevent these crimes. I have had enough.
I am hoping to raise $6,000 to help fund a home for sexual assault survivors in Haryana, a northern state that has the highest number of rape cases in India. With these funds, 25 sexual assault survivors in a small town will finally get a safe space to live and recover.

Your donations will directly impact survivors who otherwise have very little recourse and do not know yet their lives are worth living. I’m in direct contact with Manisha Mashaal a local activist who is working on the ground to help these dalit women, who are disproportionately affected by sexual violence. Dalits are one of the most underrepresented communities in India and constantly disrespected, mistreated and treated as inhuman – especially in rural areas.
As someone who grew up in fear of constant sexual assaults in India, I want younger Indian women to have a chance to live a life without fear, live freely like some of us in the Indian diaspora are able to. Please join me in making a small difference, one town at a time.
