A Home for Holly (and Family)

Donation protected
On October 25, 2017, a beautiful life was lost way too soon. After a very difficult struggle with depression, Byron Leininger took his own life, leaving behind his wife, Holly, and their two beautiful daughters.

Although we cannot answer the question of "why" Byron dealt with depression, nor why he ended the battle all too soon, we can understand the battle that now lays ahead for Holly and their two daughters.   Byron's life insurance policy did not cover death by suicide.

As we reflect on what happens next, Byron's family has decided that Holly and their children will not be left to struggle on their own.  As we reference I Timothy 5:8,  (But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever) and accept our responsibility, a plan has been put into motion to secure a home for Holly, Leatyn, and little Emberlyn.

First, the provision of land by Nate and Jennifer (Leininger) Wortz has provided us with a location. All zoning and governmental obstacles have been cleared and many hands have volunteered to begin building  a small, but functional, home for this young family.  This house will be attached to a garage that the Wortz's are personally paying for.  The garage will attach to the Wortz's current home and Holly's new home.  This provided the "attachment" needed  for zoning to approve building an additional residence on the property.

Next, we seek YOUR help in raising the necessary funds to complete the house project. With the volunteer manpower, we are seeking $85,000 to cover the costs of building materials and skilled labor that we will need to hire.  As of July 2018 we have raised $55,000 in donations given here and given directly to Holly.  That leaves a remaining $30,000 to raise.  Costs of materials have risen dramatically since we started this project so this is a pretty solid estimate but we also can't predict price increases.  We are hoping and praying to have Holly and the girls moved in by Christmas of 2018.

Finally, thank you for the love and support you have already provided for Holly, her daughters, and the entire family. May God Bless you and yours!
