OX Homecoming Fundraising Drive

Brothers,

The last two years have been some of the most difficult in recent memory for the Epsilon Theta chapter of Theta Chi. However, the chapter and the alumni board are excited to resume normal operations this semester and move back into our beloved house at 100 Packard Ave.!

The chapter's recent challenges have had a silver lining; you, our alumni, have never been as energized and involved as they have been these past two years. Your e-mails and phone calls helped save the chapter from permanent dissolution.

However, just because we are back in the house does not mean all of our problems have been solved. Real estate taxes and fees to Theta Chi National are increasing; the recent recruitment freeze and new recruitment limitations have depressed the dues the chapter can collect from undergraduate brothers; the chapter needs to restock the house with household essentials; and the chapter is committed to continuing to recruit new brothers from all income levels, and making accommodations to those brothers that are unable to pay full dues.

Thus, we have set a goal to raise $1,856, in honor of our fraternity's founding year, and as a belated honor for Epsilon Theta chapter's 60th anniversary last year, in anticipation of this year's homecoming festivities to be held September 28-30, 2018. These funds will be used to subsidize dues for brothers with limited ability to pay and to support household needs for the chapter house. This infusion will help the chapter rebuild and gain enough brothers to spread large non-discretionary costs to reasonable per capita levels. We are hopeful that a significant donation this semester will result in stability such that fundraising drives will only be infrequent at best going forward.

As mentioned above, your support has been essential in saving the chapter from extinction. Your continued support can ensure that the chapter achieves stability for years to come.

Thank you for your support.

YITB,
The Beta Chi Board

Update: Thanks to your generosity, we reached our fundraising goal in only one day! As a result, we have increased our goal to $3,500. The more money we can raise, the more we can help the chapter recruit and provide a great undergraduate experience.
