Homebirth Fund

Donation protected
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I was planning on a homebirth, but I was just notified that my insurance will ONLY cover a hospital birth. We are 3 weeks away from delivery (possibly less).

This is my third birth and the first two were at home, in the sweat lodge, because that is part of my Indigenous traditions and heritage. I am Wixarika/Mexika and Xicana; the temazkal (sweat lodge) is traditional in Mexico for healing, ceremony, prayer and birthing.

This GoFundMe will cover my midwife's fees and allow me to birth in the sweat lodge again!

I would love to see the community get together and support one more homebirth because they are already very scarce in the U.S. Even though I assist women in hospital births as a Certified Doula, I believe every woman has the right to choose a hospital or homebirth. I choose a homebirth and I hope this campaign can make it a reality for me.
