Home Repair and Mold Abatement

The long and short of it is we are raising money to repair our home and replace all of our furnishings and clothing. Money to live in the interim is important too. We will be spending $700 a month to live in an RV on top of our mortgage while working on the house. In order to make it liveable we have many things to accomplish.

1. Mold Abatement
2. Remove All Drywall
3. Remove All Flooring
4. Foundation Repair
5. Replacement of All Plumbing
6. Replace All Kitchen Cabinets
7. Re-install Everything Stated Above
8. Replace and/or Professionally Clean Everything We Own

All said and done we are looking at $30,000+ to make this house safe again. Anything helps. Even $1 is more than insurance is willing to give us. We cannot thank you enough for taking time out of your day to read this.

The long version is this. We purchased this house sight unseen from FL on our realtors recommendation. We had an inspection that pointed out nothing suspicious, but there was enough wrong with the house that we decided against purchasing. Our realtor then informed us that the current owners were planning to sue for lost time and damages because we took up too much of their time. Not knowing any better and trusting our realtors recommendation we purchased rather than go to court.

Upon entering the home for the first time the foundation sinking was immediately obvious. The flooring was poorly laid, new drywall was installed sloppily and the window trimming was weird (read: new window trim nailed on old window trim). From there it got worse. The heat didn't function. Tub wasn't draining, dishwasher didn't work, fridge wasn't installed properly and the new roof wasn't installed properly. Not to mention several things that should have been done before we arrived (moss removal, trash removal etc.) had not been addressed.
