Home care and wheelchair van for Debbie Norris

As many of our friends and family are already aware, our amazing mother Debbie has been battling ongoing chronic pain and progressive weakness for several years. She was officially diagnosed with Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (aka ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease). There’s no real way to sugar coat this, but this is a terminal illness. We currently have 24 hour caregivers hired to allow Debbie to remain at home as long as possible, but the cost of doing so has been astronomical. Furthermore, we are trying to somehow acquire a wheelchair accessible van so that we can take her to some of her favorite restaurants and perhaps short road trips. We have come up short in finding an affordable option with finances already spread so thin. It is our hope that we can raise enough money to cover the cost of the down payment on a lease option and the first several monthly payments. Time is oh so limited and the funds need to be raised ASAP! Any extra funds we can raise will go toward her ongoing care at home. Debbie’s friends and family know very well what a generous soul she is and if anyone has ever been touched by that generosity, now is your time to pay it forward right back to her during the most difficult time for her and her family.
