Holy Trinity School Fundraising for Pitch 2020

Donation protected
It seems like a lifetime ago, but at the start of the last school year back in September 2019, HTSC (Holy Trinity School Community) and FOPS (Friends of Pewley Down School) pledged that we would raise £50,000 to put towards the replacement pitch at the Holy Trinity School site.

The old pitch had been in place for over 20 years and was in a very sorry state - it was likely that it would be too dangerous to use for another school year. As well as for PE lessons, sports clubs and sports fixtures/competitions, the pitch is in constant use throughout the school day and beyond. Thankfully, the new pitch was installed in the Summer holiday and the children are already seeing the benefit since returning to school in September.

Since starting the Pitch 2020 fund, we have raised over £19,000 before the lockdown in March.

Due to the current restrictions, we are unable to fundraise in the traditional way and the big events planned for the year since March, for example Summer Fair, Summer Party, bonfire night, Christmas Fairs have all been cancelled.

We have opened this fund for friends and family of the school who would like to, and are able to, contribute directly to the fund in lieu of the main fundraising events that we are unable to run this school year.  For HTSC, the pitch is our sole fundraising goal for this year.

Many thanks
