Holly Needs A New Hip!

Dear Friends of Holly,
More than a year ago, Holly knew she was going to need a right hip replacement, but due to an accident, she had emergency surgery on her left leg instead. The surgery was a success, but it left her leg a full inch shorter than it had been, and ever since, Holly's right hip has continued to deteriorate.
For Holly, walking has become a terrible, painful effort. Her doctors say the replacement can't be done locally because of several anomalies, and she must go to specialists at the University of Washington. Plus, they say that she needs to get the replacement as soon as possible before her worn out hip is even further compromised.
Maybe you know this and maybe you don't, but surgeons won't do your hip if you need dental work. Holly's Medicare insurance won't cover any part of that and Holly needs extensive dental work.
Other expenses are going to pop up, as well: trips to Seattle for surgeon appointments, pre-surgery lodging, no doubt a few unanticipated expenses, plus a little cush of cash for the month or more of recovery before she can get back to work.
Holly would rather not need our help, but she does. As we all know, she is a good and loyal friend. Now is her time of need.
Holly is positive about the future, hopeful that the hip surgery will alleviate her pain and improve the quality of her life.
