Holly & Mario Velasquez with life after H. Ian!

Hi, My name is Dawn Garrett. I am a good friend to Holly and Mario. I am fundraising to help Holly, Mario and their two-year-old son Joshua. Hurricane Ian has left them without a home, cars as well as all of their personal belongings.

They were rescued from their home in a fire and rescue boat when their home was overtaken by water. The picture is of their house from the news. As you can see, it is halfway underwater. Holly was also notified that sinkholes have been reported behind the house.

The devastation and trauma has now set in as they realize all they have are the clothes they wore when they were rescued, their phones and a few diapers for Joshua.

They are thankful they have each other but will need assistance in the days to come. It takes time for the insurance claims, and all the paperwork is overwhelming. They will need clothes and other basic needs. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated to help them get clothes, food, and basic necessities for their day-to-day needs.
