Holly HAS a pain in the neck

My sister in law Holly needs another neck surgery, number 5 to be exact. Holly has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or EDS for short. EDS is a genetic connective tissue disorder. There are multiple types of EDS but Holly was diagnosed with type 3 which causes symptoms like loose joints, joint dislocations and chronic pain among other things. Currently there is no cure for EDS so you have to treat the symptoms and sometimes that involves surgery.
Holly has had 19 surgeries on different joints through her body. She has had 4 neck surgeries with the most recent one occurring last year. Unfortunately, she is experiencing some complications as a result of that surgery and it needs to be corrected as soon as possible. Currently she needs a fusion on her c4-5 and c5-6. She has 2 artificial disks in those spots that need to be removed. The disks are too big and moving forward in her neck. If they continue to move the risk is permanent damage to her esophagus or more seriously choking her to death. She also has a fracture in her vertebra that has opened her up to the risk of infection with the possibility of that infection traveling to her heart. As a result of these potentially life-threatening issues Holly is in constant physical pain, more than what is normal for her. Once she has this surgery she will get some much-needed relief.
The Doctor who will be performing this surgery is located in Maryland. He is familiar with EDS and more specifically Holly’s case because he has performed all but one of Holly’s neck surgeries. Unfortunately, this means that Holly needs to pay not only for the surgery but for air fare, a week in a hotel, food, and transportation while she is in Maryland.
There are two ways you can help! Number one is prayer. Please pray for Holly. She is about to have her 5th neck surgery and her 20th surgery in total. She is tired, she is overwhelmed, and she is not looking forward to doing this AGAIN. Pray for her to experience peace about the situation she is in. Pray for her safety as she travels and as she goes through the surgery and pray for her recovery. Number two is funds. We are asking for donations in hopes to alleviate some of the financial burden from Holly and Dave. At this point she is not sure how all of this is going to happen but it needs to happen and that is causing her a lot of anxiety.
