Holly Bayster Cancer Fund

On February 26, 2020, our friend, Holly Bayster, found out she had colorectal cancer. After further testing, it was determined that it had progressed to Stage 3. While it was a shock to everyone around her, she is ready for the fight and determined to overcome this cancer. Her husband, Andy, and three children, aged 10, 8 and 5 will be by her side.

It will be a long road ahead for her and her family as she will undergo chemotherapy treatments for 6 months, followed by daily radiation for 6 weeks and ultimately, 2 surgeries next year.

Holly has given so much to her community as a 1st grade teacher at Richard Elementary for 15 years and currently as the Richard PTO President. In addition, she is a constant presence in her children’s classrooms and activities. She reluctantly agreed to this fundraising effort as it is simply not in her nature to accept assistance from others.

We are asking for help from her “village” to help lessen the financial burden of medical treatment and pay for services around the house to help her forget about the daily chores and responsibilities of a young mother. Additionally, Andy is self-employed, and will not be able to dedicate his full attention to his business over the ensuing year.

Our community is strong and together we can help this family through this difficult time.
