Holland Family Hurricane Fund

Hi everyone! My name is Jenna Palmer and I am a teacher at Tanglewood Elementary School in Fort Myers, Florida. My coworkers and I are creating this GoFundMe page for our dear friend and fellow teacher, Melissa Holland. Melissa has been a teacher at Tanglewood Elementary School for several years, and prior to that she volunteered much of her time at the school as well. She is married to Jordan Holland and they have 2 girls ages 10 and 3. Kylie also attends Tanglewood and is in the 5th grade.

On September 10th Hurricane Irma completely devastated the Holland’s home with massive flooding. As the waters were rising, it quickly engulfed the house as well as their vehicle and have left the family with very little. They will now have to rebuild their lives and they could certainly use some help.

We are setting up this GoFundMe page because many people have asked us how they can help. Currently, The Holland’s need a place to live, clothes for the children, and the bare minimum necessities, since everything they had is now lost.

When the opportunity presents itself, The Holland’s help anyone in any way they can. Melissa’s family is the type of family that would never ask for assistance, so our primary goal is to come together now for them at this time of need.

While some possessions can never be replaced, we pray this page will help bring some relief to the family and show them there is hope that things will get better. We plan to have the funds readily available for the Holland family so that they are able to use them immediately.
