Holiday Social for Senior Citizens in Memory Care
Recently I was invited to throw a Holiday Social for an adult daycare in December, 2019.
This party will be for approximately 50 seniors and 10 caregivers.
We will be playing games and having prizes. The menu will include cheese and fruit trays, sausage balls, angel food cake and diet beverages. But one line in the contact form touched my heart, it said, “several patients do not have family and this event means so much to them.”
Now I’m an only child, with no children - and right now I’m 49 years old. But one day the reality that Icould be The guest at a holiday social is very real.
I want to treat others the way I want to be treated. So I want to make sure we have an awesome party planned for the patients and caregivers too!
If you’d like to participate please feel free to contribute. No amount will be too small - actually I’d love it if 200 friends donated $5. I’m a believer and proponent of micro giving.
I’ll also be looking for sponsors and reaching out for corporate donations.
