We joined the Betsabé Espinal Popular Library to gift the children of Moravia (Medellín, Colombia) an incredible holiday celebration on December 22nd, filled with gifts, activities, a delicious dinner, and more. We will also host a clothing bazaar for children and families in need, along with many other features worthy of a Christmas celebration.
WE ARE COLLECTING FUNDS TO MAKE THIS A REALITY.
The Betsabé Espinal Popular Library is a grassroots initiative in Medellín, Colombia- led by a group of dedicated students from Antioquia University. They have worked tirelessly to create a safe space for the children of Moravia, a low-resource neighborhood in Medellín built on top of an old landfill. Many families in Moravia live in extreme poverty, using salvaged materials to build their homes and even relying on methane from the landfill for cooking. The library provides a refuge where children can feel safe, heard, and loved—a place to learn, play, and grow.
This Christmas, we are joining efforts with the library to host a holiday celebration for the children and their families. Our goal is to ensure every child receives a gift, distribute clothing in good condition, and provide a delicious, nutritious meal—luxuries these families rarely experience. With your support, we can give these children and their families a joyful Christmas and continue building a stronger, safer community.
Thanks for your support! ❤️
