A Mandarin High School senior in Jacksonville, FL has been left paralyzed from the neck down and unable to breathe on his own after being injured while enjoying a day at Guana River State Park.
17-year-old Jared Christopher Hogg, a student at Mandarin High Schoolin Jacksonville, suffered a C4 and C5 spinal cord injury on Sunday -18 March 2018.
Jared is paralyzed from the neck down and unable to breathe on his own. Hopes and prayers are for Jared to have a speedy recovery and to one day regain mobility for independent living.
Jared is beloved in the community and well-known by friends, teachers and coaches for his charm, exceptional wit and humor. In addition to enjoying his days at the beach, Jared also enjoys physical fitness and outdoor activities including playing football.
His family gives heartfelt thanks for the kindness, love and support they have received from the many people Jared has touched. Special thanks to his beloved friends that have shown their consistent support by visiting him and his family during this difficult time.
