<div>Holger betreibt mit viel Liebe und Hingabe seinen Hof. Viele von uns kennen ihn schon seit Jahren – seine frischen Eier gehören einfach zu unserer Nachbarschaft.

<div>Doch vor kurzem ist das passiert, wovor jeder Landwirt Angst hat: Der Vogelgrippe-Virus hat seinen Hof getroffen. Sein Betrieb war einer der ersten betroffenen im Landkreis Diepholz. Seine 1.100 Bio-Legehühner mussten gekeult werden.

<div>Innerhalb weniger Tage war alles weg, was er sich über Jahre aufgebaut hatte.

<div>Jetzt steht er vor dem Nichts – emotional, aber auch finanziell. Die Entschädigungen decken bei weitem nicht die wahren Verluste: die Pflege, die Ställe, das Futter, die Geräte – und vor allem das Herzblut, das in jedem Tier steckte.
