The Hobbs family home fell victim to Wednesday's wicked lightning strikes and are one of 7 homes struck (direct hit) and reportedly received the worst damage. The home is destroyed, but thankfully parents Don & Nikki, children Athena (14) and Eleny (11) escaped without injury. A story was published showing the Hobbs home on fire in the Northwest Florida Daily News on July 28th, page A3.
The Hobbs are bigtime community supporters, especially when it comes to area soccer. Although they have no more children in the PAL soccer league, they serve as board members and are also active in the FC Dallas Emerald Coast competitive travel soccer club.
The purpose of this GoFundMe account is to help offset their immediate, before-insurance-kicks in incidentals costs (replacement of school supplies, clothes, food, and shelter).
