As familiar as you are with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there is another day you might want to know about, which is Giving Tuesday. The idea is pretty straightforward. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, shoppers break from holiday shopping, and donate to a charity. - Bill Gates

Being a Big Brother (Big Brother Big Sisters of America) has been one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling things I've ever done. I’ve been blessed to be matched with an amazing young man, Jalen. I trust that my time with Jalen has helped better shape his future by empowering him to stay focused, and to take on life one challenge at a time. We have shared countless hours of Big-Little bonding, whether it was cheering for the Miami Heat or sharing in some tough conversations. It truly has been lots of fun! Today, Jalen is dealing with Crohn’s disease, a major health challenge, and the medical expenses are presenting a major hardship for his family.

I am personally asking my family, frat and friends to assist me in raising funds toward his medical expenses. Let’s help Jalen tackle this challenge as well by showing our generosity during this holiday season.
