  COLLEEN'S ANGELS:  Mia and Sal

"What can we do?" A question that has been asked countless times over the past 7 years.  If you asked the Pasquale family they would simply say prayers.  At St Bernard School, where Mia and Sal attend, the students and teachers have started each morning praying the Rosary together as an entire school since September when Colleen's health began to decline.  Prayer was so very important to Colleen and so is the Catholic education that the children receive.
Since Colleen was diagnosed with breast cancer 7 years ago she has remained a pillar of strength, a warrior, for all those she met and even those she did not.  She approached each day with positivity and optimism, no matter what she faced.  She led each phone call, text message, or face-to-face meeting with "How are you?" never with a focus on herself and always with a smile on her face and genuine concern for your answer.  Nothing held her back - not a wheelchair, not chemo, or the dreaded snow and ice that she hated.  Colleen continued to work as a guidance counselor in Mt. Lebanon as long as she could, where she touched so many young lives.  She also continued to stay involved in her children's lives and education, offering help and send donations from her hospital bed. Angelo remained her rock through everything, always putting Colleen and the kids first in his life.  Their dedication to their family and their faith will continue to be an inspiration for all those who have the honor of knowing this amazing family.
In returning to the question that so many ask, "What can we do?", we can continue to pray.  If you are able to donate, we are starting this fund for Mia and Sal's tuition as well as activities that will allow them to continue to grow and flourish without monetary limitations.
While we know Colleen and Angelo would never ask for anything, there are things that we can do to carry on as Colleen's Angels......To be a giver without ever asking for anything in return; to always ask "How are you?" before volunteering your own feelings; to love unconditionally, no matter what challenge stands before you.

We thank each of you for the support that you are able to give.  Please continue to pray for strength and continued faith that God is now taking care of our Angel.
