Lasko Strong: Fundraiser!!!

On Sunday November 16th my dad and I brought my mom to Holmes Regional for severe headaches. On the following Tuesday, November 18th she went in for brain surgery. It was a 4 hour procedure between pre-op, brain mapping and then wheeling her back up to ICU. She was in the ICU for a few days just for precautions, and then she moved to the neuro floor. After she got to the 7th floor we saw a Pathologist and an Oncologist. We did receive good and bad news from both. The bad news is she does have cancer, but the good news is it is very treatable, and she had an amazing surgery. Her neurosurgeon was Dr. Payne and he is a Christian which automatically gave us peace. He said her surgery went very well and the likeliness of it growing back is very low, but possible. Both the Oncologist and Pathologist gave us a lot of information and it is all very optimistic. My mom is ready to fight and that is all we can ask for. She came home on November 21st, and she is doing great. The last thing I want my family to worry about is money. God will provide and this website blesses so many people. We have wonderful insurance which is a blessing, but as of January 1 we will have a lot of medical bills. I do not want my mom to even think about worrying about the bills.
