Elijah Razor is a smart, silly, energetic 2 year old with a great sense of humor. He loves tools and working with his Papa, Mickey Mouse, and playing with his Cousins. He has a new baby brother, Shepard, who is 3 months old. Eli loves being a big brother.
On November 5th, 2015 Elijah was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. His mom, Shani, noticed some unusual bruising a couple of weeks before and had his blood tested for anemia. His lab came back abnormal, and his doctor later suggested a bone marrow biopsy. The results of the biopsy revealed that little Eli had leukemia. He was admitted to Doernbecher Children's Hospital the same day, and is undergoing chemotherapy. They will be there for the first phase of treatment which will be 30-70 days.
The diagnosis has hit the Razor family hard, but they believe that God will remain faithful in their time of need. Eli's dad, Russ, being the only source of income for the family, is unsure when he will be able to return to work.
We, as a family, are reaching out to find support for them during this time. They will be traveling between Eugene and Portland frequently and will have many monetary needs during their stay and when they return home. Some of those needs include gas, meals for Russ and Shani, snacks for Eli, diapers, wipes, formula for Shepard, etc. They are also hoping to stay current on their monthly living expenses like their mortgage, electricity, garbage service, and insurance.
