Help support Donna & Jennifer

Hello everbody, I have set up this go fund account for Donna DiPilato and long-time family friend Jennifer Granger. As many of you know Donna is suffering from end stage liver disease and is in dire need of a liver transplant. She has lost nearly all facets of her quality of life, and in June learned that the local hospital, which was long slated as the facility performing the transplant, and that had treated and managed her liver disease for many years was no longer able to perform the surgery. Shortly after she received this news her daughter Tara was ultimately ruled out as the live donor for her mother. After many tumultuous months Jennifer selflessly volunteered to act as the donor, and on December 8th Lahey Hospital in Massachusetts will be performing the life-saving surgery. As a result of the chronic and debilitating nature of the illness Donna was forced to resign her position at work and Jennifer will have to take an unpaid leave of absence for up to 3 months. Thankfully insurance will cover the over whelming majority of the medical expenses, but the ancillary costs can quickly built to unmanageable levels. Donna, Jennifer, and both of their families will be temporarily relocating to Massachusetts to undergo and recover from the surgery; Donna and her family from Rochester, NY, and Jennifer and her family from Tampa, FL. Donna will likely be in recovery at the hospital for one to three months, while Jennifer will be there for nearly one month. Donations will help meet the uninsured medical and non-medical expenses for both Donna and Jennifer. Including: health insurance premiums/copays, hospital bills, travel/temporary relocation for patient, donor and caregivers, medications, etc. On behalf of the families donations and prayers are very much appreciated.
