BREWIN BROWN BEAR NEEDS A NEW KNEE

Brewin is a sweet, loving, playful, and energetic 5 1/2 year old Pit Bull Mix. He's the younger brother to an 11 year old Pug named Bella.
Some of Brewin's favorite activities include going for long runs with his mom, playing with his whip toy, rollerblading with his dad, car rides, and snuggling. Brewin loves kitties, bunnies, baby chickens, and turtles. Anyone that has ever met Brewin knows how sweet and loving he truly is. He's just a big teddy bear.
About 6 months ago Brewin began limping after playing outside. The limping has progressively worsened and after slipping on the ice last week, he isn't bearing any weight on his right hind leg. Brewin can no longer play or participate in his favorite activities; he's too young to be this sedentary.
Brewin went to the Vets last week for a check up and X-Rays, the Vet, radiologist, and surgeon have confirmed a CCL (cranial cruciate ligament, also commonly referred to as the dog acl) tear with possible meniscus tears.
Surgical options have been presented and we all believe the best option for Brewin will be the TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery. The philosophy behind the TPLO surgery is to completely change the dynamics of the dog’s knee so that the torn ligament becomes irrelevant to the stability of the knee itself. This procedure has a 90-95 % success rate. Our goal is to fix Brewin so he can play with his friends and do all of the activities he loves the most.
The estimate of the surgery and fees will be $4,900. We are reaching out and asking for your help through donations to help this sweet boy and allow him to have the playful and active life he once lived.
