Noah's Cancer Crusade Fund

Donation protected

On Monday, September 24th, 2018, my 9 year old nephew, Noah, was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer called Medulloblastoma. A family's worst nightmare realized. Noah needs all of the thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and positive energy that he can get during his fight against this disease.  Noah loves playing video games, swimming, camping, playing soccer, Pokemon, LEGOs, Connect 4, and is very protective of (and sometimes slightly annoyed with- HA!) his younger brother, Liam. We want to ensure that Noah has all the resources at his disposal so we can get him through this fight and back to doing what he loves!

On Friday, 21 September, Noah's mom, Glenna, took him to see an ophthalmologist to follow up on some frequent headaches that he had been experiencing. The ophthalmologist ran some tests, and after discovering some abnormalities referred us directly to the ER at Children's Hospital of Atlanta - Scottish Rite where we Noah was then diagnosed with a brain tumor. He was immediately scheduled for surgery and thankfully the fantastic team of surgeons at Children's were able to remove all of the tumor during the operation. Unfortunately, the tumor was cancerous, and identified as Medulloblastoma - a cancerous tumor (also called cerebellar primitive neuroectodermal tumor, or PNET)  which starts in the brain at the base of the skull.

Now we are ready to fight!

Noah's family are working with the team of doctors to determine the best treatment, and we know that Noah has a long fight ahead of him.  Currently, he is recovering from surgery in the ICU at Children's and needs rest more than anything. The money raised here will be used for Noah's medical expenses, meals, travel costs, and any other medical-related expenses incurred during Noah's journey.  Anything that you can contribute, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden that the Kanakanui family is facing.

Glenna's sister Laura will be posting updates during Noah's fight, we will keep everyone updated with his progress. We are all looking forward to the day that we say that Noah has won his fight!

Thank you so much for your support   We are going to kick cancer’s butt!

Noah’s parents, Glenna and Steven Kankanui Ana his baby brother Liam appreciate everything. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
