Bring The Sokolowski Twins Home

For more than two years, Mary Ann and Jim Sokolowski have been waiting to bring their adopted twins home from the Democratic Republic of Congo. During this time the family has only been able to communicate through small care packages and photographs. This month the couple flew to the DRC to meet their children for the first time.
While the meeting has been joyous, the journey is far from over. An exit letter for each twin is all that is standing in the way of this family returning to the U.S. and reuniting with the couple’s eldest son. So far, the DRC government is unwilling to provide these letters. Despite their twin son’s health issues, which need to be treated in the U.S., and a recently developed case of tumbu flies, health concerns do not appear to be expediting their case.
Unceasing prayers are being said for progress of the situation; however, the financial burden of this waiting game is piling up. For almost two weeks the Sokolowskis have been staying in a quaint hotel with fees that rival a 4-star US hotel. Food expenses are above average, as well. And when the twins are finally granted their exit letters, four last minute flights from the DRC to Tennessee must be purchased.
