Hansen Kirkpatrick Fund

My son, Hansen Kirkpatrick, gave his life on 03 July 2017 in service to his country. He was a husband, a son, a brother, a cousin, and a friend. He was one of the best people I have ever known in my life. My son used to tell me repeatedly how proud he was of me and how he hoped I would be just as proud of him one day. I was, am, and always will be proud of him and I let him know that. Now, I wish to show him.

The funds that I raise with this campaign will go to serve two purposes.

1. To start a foundation, charity, fund, camp, outreach program or something of that nature that my son would be proud to have his name on that will last generations. My thinking is if someone gave him X amount of dollars and said "use this to make the world a better place" what would he do with it. I haven't decided yet but it will be something that he would be proud of.

2. To recoup the extra costs of memorial expenses and to support our family in general. There isn't much too this, but it a much more attainable goal for those that want to give.

I realize that the amount I set is not enough to fund something big. I picked a number that I felt was attainable to see what interest, if any, there was for this cause and start from there. Yes, I dream of a huge foundation with chapters in every state or across the globe that help the world become a better place in my sons name, but I also understand this may just be my dream.
