2nd Annual Blanket Drive

As a patient of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, I personally know what it is like to spend the days leading up to the holidays as a patient within the hospital. It simply is not a fun position to be in. You are secluded from all of the holiday festivities and you live within the same four walls. When I was a patient, I received two blankets during my stay from a local volleyball team that made and donated a great amount of blankets to the patients. I was so lucky to receive two of the most amazing fleece blankets, as simple as you think it may be, it made a tremendous impact during my stay and for long after. I still sleep with these two blankets every single night because they comforted me during some of the toughest moments of my life. It is the time to bring the communities together and make these blankets for the current patients. We want to help create a blanket for someone that needs the comfort and security. Please think about donating your time or even a few dollars to this wonderful cause and provide a comfort blanket to a patient needing it as we near the holidays!
