Please consider helping this young family, they are being challenged physically, mentally,, emotionally and financially after receiving the dreaded news that the Dad, 44 years old has stage 4 cancer.
A few weeks ago my daughter's family, the Barrett Family received the news no one wants to hear. My daughter's husband Bill, was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer, that has spread to his lymph nodes and his liver. Bill and Beth have 3 children. DJ age 19, Bethany age 7 and Billy, age 4.
Bill has started daily radiation on his neck and chest and has had his first chemo treatments last week. Chemo will be repeated every 3 weeks.
This is a very agressive cancer that has a high rate of return, even once one is found to be cancer free. Bill and Beth both have a deep faith and are praying for a miracle.
The Barrett's will not have medical coverage until January of 2015, when insurance from Beth's work will be effective, and will hopefully cover some of Bill's medical expenses.
Bill is not able to work, he has worked for the past 2 years for a temp agency and therefore is not eliglble for any short term disability payments.
This illness, medicals bills, loss of wages, daily trips to treatment and doctors, will put a strain on the family finances that will be impossible for them to meet.
Any help that you can offer through this fundraising campaign will be greatly appreciated.
