Sunrise Daycare Enrollment Fund

Hi Everyone!
We are currently volunteering in South Africa and are on a mission to help the children of Sunrise Educare Center. The township "Capricorn", where the daycare resides, is home to approximately 40,000 residents. Of this population, 45% are infected with HIV & Aids, 55% are unemployed and 60% are substance users. The average monthly income per family in Capricorn is approximately $100 (USD). Unfortunately, this makes it quite difficult for the families to afford to send their child(ren) to daycare everyday. It is extremely important that these children are able to receive an education as well as a safe place that provides them with meals and proper care. We need to keep these children fed and safe from abusive environments that many call home. It is only R50 ($5) a week to attend the daycare, something we usually spend on coffee per day.
Out of the 10 classes at the daycare, the students are currently $1600 in debt. After this school year ends in December, the students will not be able to return for the next year until their debt is paid off. Our ultimate goal is to pay off the debt of all the students before the end of this year.
