Help Isidro "Sid" fight leukemia

Dear Friends,
This is a picture of my best friend/wife Kim, my 3 beautiful children Kyrsten, Isidro Jr. & A.J. and myself Isidro "Sid" Perez. I have been trying to come to terms with the fact that I was diagnosed with cancer in June of this year, I never thought it would happen to me especially at the age of 37. The fact of the matter is cancer doesn't discriminate regardless of age or race. For me, it was May 25th when my wife received a phone call from my Drs. office telling her that I needed to get to the ER as soon as possible to have my blood work retested due to an abnormal test result. My labs came back the same as before, so I was then transferred to Spohn Shorline in Corpus Christi, TX. I spent 5 days in the hospital and was discharged without knowing what was wrong with me. On June 5th, I saw a specialist and got diagnoised with possible Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) pending a second opinion from MD Anderson in Houston, TX. June 12th was my first visit to MD Anderson where I met the team of doctors who would be assigned to my case and then had a bone marrow biopsy performed. A week later, on June 21st, my diagnosis was confirmed I did have CML. Returning to MD Anderson on July 12th I started my treatment and with my Faith in GOD, the support of my family and friends I am going to beat this cancer.
Although I do have insurance, it does not cover all expenses. We are asking for your donations to help us with the following:
· Additional Medical expenses
· Travel to/from MD Anderson in Houston, TX.
· Staying In Houston for 4-5 days in October for observation
for additional treatment
· Loss of Income
· Daily living expenses
