Hjälp (Help) Edenberga Frivilliga Brandkår

Mitt namn är Mikael Lennartsson och jag är ordförande i föreningen Edenberga Frivilliga Brandkår.

Edenberga Frivilliga Brandkår är en liten partipolitiskt obunden och icke vinstdrivande, ideell förening som funnits sedan 1914. Föreningen bildades som en aktiv brandkår men övergick på 1980- och 90-talet till att vara en ideell intresseorganisation. 2012 påbörjades arbetet med att omvandla den kulturminnesförklarade brandstationen från 1929 till ett museum dedikerat till brandförsvarets och räddningstjänstens historia i allmänhet och på Laholms landsbygd i synnerhet.

Föreningen har haft det tufft ekonomiskt med inställda säsonger på grund av diverse händelser utanför föreningens kontroll, sedan slog även Covid-19 till och sabbade ännu en säsong. Nu behöver dessutom slangtornet renoveras och det är till just drift och underhåll pengarna kommer att gå.

Föreningens mål har alltid varit att driva museet utan höga inträdesavgifter och istället arbetat efter principen att en frivillig gåva ökar värdet på det vi gör och för att även de som inte i vanliga fall har råd skall kunna besöka brandstationen och ta del av historian som byggnaden och inventarierna står för.

My name is Mikael Lennartsson and I am the president of Edenberga Volunteer Fire Brigade.

Edenberga Volunteer Fire Brigade is a small non-political and non-profit association that has existed since 1914. The association was formed as an active fire brigade but in the 1980s and 90s became a non-profit interest organization. In 2012, work began on transforming the fire station from 1929 into a museum dedicated to the history of the fire and rescue service in general and in Laholm's countryside in particular.

The association has had a tough time financially with canceled seasons due to various events beyond the association's control, then Covid-19 also struck and canceled yet another season. Now the hose tower also needs to be renovated and it is precisely for operation and maintenance costs that the money will go to.

The association's goal has always been to run the museum without high entrance fees and instead worked on the principle that a voluntary gift increases the value of what we do and so that even those who can not usually afford to visit museums can visit the fire station and take part in the history the building and the inventory stands for.

The association would be deeply grateful for your support and help.
