MJ's Medical Fund

MJ is 29 years old mother of two. She has lived with epilepsy her whole life. When she was a small child it was believed she had a learning disability it wasn't until in middle school when she had a new  pediatrician that she was correctly diagnosed with Epilepsy. Once she was diagnosed she was on Topamax and Lamictal both having negative side affects for her. MJ does not have insurance. And as for the past few years she has had seizures in her sleep and wakes up biting her tongue. When this happens MJ clenches her jaw so tight it has caused harm to her mouth. She needs surgery done to fix anything that these jaw clenching seizures have damaged. Not just the surgery but also the medication, the antibiotics, the pain medication she may need.  All which has to be out a pocket as she will have to see a specialist and be referred out the cost gets higher. She is an amazing mother that anyone can vouch for and an amazing human being. She always places herself last and for the first time in her life she is coming first. She is terrified of what may happen if her goal is not met. She has severe anxiety that she has described as soul crushing. Her children and family are going through it with her as well. Seeing someone they love and care about going through something so big makes us feel helpless as well. Epileptics have been known to break teeth during a seizure. Some almost bite there entire tongue out in really bad cases. It's not something she can help. And it's causing damage. This is really urgent. The sooner we are able to put down for treatment and healing the faster she is on a road to recovery. While all of this is happening MJ epilepsy has been getting worse due to stress which triggers seizures in her. Her family and herself need a fresh of breath air. This can be live changing and live saving as if this is allowed to progress without treatment it can lead to further damage.
