Stolen bike replacement

So my sons friend Luke, has had his bike stolen. He is an apprentice at a garage in Stockport and on Thursday the 4th June he was locking up with his boss, so he put his bike outside the shutter and walked through the office to finish locking up. When he got outside his bike had gone.
He is a really nice lad and he had a second job in platform 1 but obviously it is currently shut so he told me that he is going to have to walk to and from Romiley to Stockport everyday.
I also offered to lend him my bike until he can afford another one but he declined because he said “I can’t afford a bike as it is, so if yours gets nicked I wouldn’t be able to replace it”.
