Hit-and-Run Bike Accident

Donation protected
As many of you know, Angie Hernandez was involved in a hit-and-run accident on September 25, 2018, only two days after her 30th birthday. She was doing what she loves most, which is riding her bike with some of her closest friends during a Monday Night Ride, an organized bike group that takes weekly ventures through different parts of Chicago. A little after 1am, an unidentified vehicle with no lights on was speeding at 35-40mph and struck Angie while she was on her bike. She flew to the floor, breaking her collar bone, and leaving her with cuts and bruises. She is very well lucky to be alive.

We have organized this GFM account her on behalf, to help pay for her rent and medical bills, as she will be out of work for up to 2 months while her collar bone heals. It is uncertain at this time if she will need surgery. Angie doesn’t qualify for unemployment, disability, and doesn’t have insurance.

Any donation, big or small, is deeply and sincerely appreciated. Thank you for your help.

*Alberto Bocanegra lost his life when he tried to obtain the license plate numbers of the criminals who fled the scene after hitting my sister. He didn't deserve to die so young, especially for trying to do the right thing. May he Rest in Peace. Donate here: gf.me/u/mhzy5y
